The problem with a computer desk clearance from your local (or online) furniture store is that you are still buying particle board.  When will people stand up and say "NO MORE" and start buying REAL WOOD?

The problem people have with real wood is it's too expensive.  So I built my own REAL WOOD 10' computer desk for just over $300, which would cost $thousands to buy from an Amish store.
